End of the Wine
(End of the line-contest)
The End of the Wine
No, it’s not right, another bottle’s empty and gone
No, it’s not right, the alcohol didn’t last long
No, it’s not right, there isn’t a drop that’s left
No, it’s not right, I’m beginning to feel so bereft
You can sit around or pass out on the floor
(At the end of the wine)
Or grab your wallet and head out to the store
(At the end of the wine)
I know outside it’s cold and gray.
(At the end of the wine)
Buy some chardonnay
No, it’s not right, we’ve eaten up all of the cheese
No, it’s not right I can’t find my bloody car keys
No, it’s not right, I guess I’ll just have to walk
No, it’s not right, the wine store’s down the next block
There’s no car around that I can drive
(At the end of the wine)
I’ll just run out, be back home in five
(At the end of the wine)
Good thing I brought a warm scarf for my throat
(At the end of the wine)
forgot my coat
No, it’s not right, how will we celebrate?
No, it’s not right, no I don’t think it’s getting too late
No, it’s not right, red or white sure would be fine
No, it’s not right, we’ve come to end of the wine
