Empty
Ignorance is bliss, believe me.
For I was once full, with what I thought I knew completely.
Experience has taught me, that I know nothing actually.
About love, and all it takes, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I gave it sacrifice, commitment and honesty.
I gave it trust, dependability, and loyalty.
I gave it kindness, with moments of vulnerability.
I gave it tears, when it was thirsty.
I gave it mind, body and soul, when it was hungry.
I gave it intimacy, in times of privacy.
I gave it my hand, and walked with it blindly.
I gave to what I found, unaware that it could be lost so easily.
I gave, but it takes two, anything less is fallacy.
I gave it my all, and now I'm just empty.
