Elevated Being

In what way will we understand this?
Dopamine candy, groping, stoking doses
Fully arousing in deepest clarity.
Circular selves,
Porous places in and out,
Echo and shout.

Interior spaces
Glowing, fading traces.
Some scary faces,
Some easy embraces.
Liquid, feedback lucid looping,
Temporal and psychic standing,
And stooping, regrouping.
Ordered by silent commanding.
But no one is demanding.

Observer and possessor,
Obsessor and transgressor,
Cybernetic controls,
Systems in parallel.
entangling pacing realms,
quantum ghosts in pell-mell.

Wonder is never childish enough
Until it is sufficiently old.
What lives and deaths
Must be breathed and passed?
In what way will we understand this?

To explore the "elevated being" is to scrape at life's core. Another thought probing write, Thomas. I especially loved the lines "wonder is never childish enough until it is sufficiently old" - Wow! Wonder does have a shelf life + frays in age. Great writing my friend. Be well. Brian

Thank you for your thoughtful remarks, Brian. I think wonder is much like a bottle of wine. The bouquet of flavor improves with age. -Thomas

I am so grateful you stopped by and took in this poem, Linda! I want my poems to be accessible, but my muse keeps drawing me to the cerebral. When talented poets like you provide positive feedback, it increases my confidence. Happy New Year!

Hello, Val! Thank you for your comments. I really see no boundaries to our minds when we let them free. I think cybernetic feedback loops are the way the mind merges with whatever we do (the Zen of any art). It is great to meet you here on the Soup! May peace and justice fill our hearts during this season of joy. -Thomas
