Electricity

When we touch, it's there Metal and live wire. Sparks fly from your eyes to mine. A touch, by accident or deliberate. I shiver as my blood runs hot. Electricity is there, we both know. We must be careful though Before we ignite a fire Which consumes us both. April 20, 1985

I am unbiased and fair within my judging. I am recently sponsoring a NEW contest now. The form revolves around the poetic form: CLERIHEWS. I hope you will participate. I am not asking for an apology but - your comment, on my recent blog, raised quite a few eyebrows - to the poets here at PSoup - who RESPECT my poetry and KNOW me as a genuine friend. If you would like to apologize...I, unlike yourself, can be contacted via Soup Mail.Peace always, John

Dear Laura, There are (sometimes) various glitches on the PSoup site. I, myself, have experienced "technical" problems with: "posting poems" or "outgoing comments" - etc... I've been a member of PSoup for at least 4 years now. I sponsor contests to promote poetic growth/activity within the community. continued -

Not to repeat myself but - ONLY 50 participants were welcome to join the contest by February 21 - the 50 entries were received within FIVE days of the deemed closing date! Wishing you all the best and I welcome your poetry into my next sponsored contest. Peace always, John

By NO means am I biased or unfair. I will be sposoring a NEW contest soon. I hope you will participate and am quite sure you are an expectional poetess. But please, pay attention as to HOW many entries are allowed AND when the contest will supposedly close.

D) I DID NOT end the contest early - the MAXIMUM number of poets filled the entry requirements before the deemed closure date. I hope the aforementioned comments answers your query.

3) A sponsor of a PSoup contest is allowed certain guidelines/privileges. A) How many poems are allowed to enter. B) The date the contest itself will close or be terminated. For example: My last contest on LOVE was allowed 50 participants and was to finish on February 21st.C) No matter WHAT the closing date deems - if 50 poets (the maximum I had chosen to enter) participated in the contest before the termination date - then the contest will subsequently/automatically CLOSE!

"Dear Laura, Please understand: 1) Only Premium Members are allowed to sponsor PSoup Member poetry contests. 2) The Member contests are judged blindly. The PM sponsor is UNABLE to see WHO wrote the poem. A poem submitted to a PM sponsored contest is solely judged upon the reader/sponsors intrepretation of the content/context matter of the received poetry/poem (related to the "theme" of the contest). continued - "
