Have you ever felt elated;
energized and fascinated?
And heard your heart pound in your chest;
thoughts clamoring to be expressed.
Have you ever felt excited;
overwhelmed, and yet delighted?
And garnered joy from every day,
letting your worries waft away.
Have you ever felt ecstatic,
confident and chiasmatic?
And gobsmacked by unbridled joy,
like a child with a brand-new toy.
Have you ever felt so sublime
that, if possible, you'd pause time?
And yet, such human emotions;
don't rely on magic potions.
