Elated
Have you ever felt elated,
energized, or fascinated?
And heard your heart pound in your chest,
as thoughts clamor to be expressed.
Have you ever felt excited,
overwhelmed, and/or delighted?
And garnered joy from each new day,
letting your worries waft away.
Have you ever felt ecstatic,
confident, and chiasmatic?
And gobsmacked by unbridled joy,
like a child with a brand-new toy.
Have you ever felt so sublime
that, if possible, you'd pause time?
And yet, these human emotions,
don't rely on magic potions.
