El Shaddai
God indeed is fully almighty
this characteristic is just one
of the many that describe God
to name them all we'd never be done
God is so completely powerful
He can make anything to appear
if it doesn't it's better not to
for His wisdom's sure and so clear
God can overcome all obstacles
for His brain is so mightily perfect
He reads ahead of everyone's plan
knowing what to do simply select
God fills all things to His perfection
the requirements are His to make good
He reads from an eternal perspective
seeing so to be divinely understood
God is absolutely mighty always
there's never a time that He's wrong
no matter what or who fights against us
El Shaddai God almighty forever strong
(my wife Christine and I love this song by Amy Grant so thought I would write a poem centred on the title, meaning God Almighty.
