Ego Humbling
Ego of selfish nature
Can be molded to mature…
Born midst arrogant culture
Babes have demanding feature…
Such is human heart’s posture
Masked against kindness’ gesture…
As mind yields to God’s nurture
It flees from ego’s torture…
Ego shorn through good lecture
Triumphs showing joy’s picture…
Now reborn for love’s venture
Faith now glows by care stature…
I’m transformed with renewed vesture
Thankful as divine creature.*
