Edifying Autumn
Summer fades as thunder clouds roll in,
Darkened skies hold lightning bolts within.
Autumn rain shares laughter with the din.
As splashes of hues become akin,
A race in which the sturdy will win.
Leaves dance and twirl like the ladies spin.
I’m so inspired to write again
With my poet’s heart that dwells within.
