Echoes of a Life Once Lived
I knew you before, but I don't know where
To be remembered as a lost desire
I feel the pull of time of you somewhere
Is my memory a testifier?
Distant faint echoes of a life once lived
I hear deep in my mind when you appear
Time's old tapestry of pictures relived
Sunsets dissolve and again reappear
I quietly reach back to a time before
And find you standing in a footprint's trace
Death is the final door souls can explore
To cross the realm of an ancient birthplace
Dare I think throughout time we've been lovers,
Or dreams and illusions one rediscovers?
