Echo

Why did you leave me?
I cried aloud on the mountainside.
An echo returned to me
A mere repetition once she died.

Why can't I know where she is?
It was not right that I should know.
Everything was hers, not his.
Like it or not, it's better so.

My mind echoed "I love you still".
I trudged home, with nowhere to go.
Dark thoughts were all that now fill
My life was now full of desperate woe.

Victor, a well penned emotive poem. I believe our departed loved ones visit us in our dreams as well as in spirit at times during our lifetime.

True love is everlasting. Your beautiful poem is full of love and longing for your wife. Your poetry shows that she is never far from your mind, and I think she feels the same as you do, wherever she may be. Look after yourself, Victor P S I hope you are feeling much better.

Beautiful poem, Victor! Melding with the pain, by grace we may regain, her touch that doth endear, knowing she is in spirit here.
