East Meets West
Global awakening came when sunrise met the sunset,
sparking a clash of conflicting cultures
Civilization came to the crossroads when east met west
Armageddon skies of doomsday vultures,
because humanity can't seem to overcome it's differences
Both sides rebuff any peaceful overtures
Come to the negotiations some nations are sure to insist,
where feigned words are spoken under false diplomacy
While ancient factions of opposition continue to resist
Both sides offering compromise to keep global markets free,
an odd arrangement which make for strange bedfellows
Commercialistic versus holistic application of modern industry
When the west meets the east, the goodbye greets the hello ...
such colorful banners displayed of pagan pageantry
But whither does the east and westerly trade winds blow?
The east and west bear more in common than things they disagree,
but who among them can make closed minds open their eyes and see?
