Earth Is Our Mother
She lovingly feeds her children and cradles her dead,
The stars shine like a crown on her head,
Sweet assurance comes with her morning light,
That dispels the fears of the long dark night.
Oh Mother, I sip your sweet morning dew,
As I bask in this morning’s sunrise view,
Your temper crashes across angry skies,
Where in deep blue oceans your mysteries lie.
Each second brings your change of mind,
Lovingly hateful, unmercifully kind,
Earth is woman that no man can own,
Who chases us away but never leaves us alone.
In every nation across every land,
All men understand,
She pulls her children to her breast,
And opens the ground to take back the rest.
