Early Trip

Once we were very young, Our journey had begun, We bounced around in the back, No seatbelts, alas, alack, I was rubbing the hair of Grandpa Jack, Trying to drive, with me on his back, That was 'the good old days', Vanished in nostalgic haze!

My favourite memory is of my mother teaching my grandfather to drive; whilst barreling down the hill with him shouting, "Whoa! Damn you, WHOA!" and her calmly saying, "You need to push the brake, Dad!" Amazing we survived without seatbelts, etc., isn't it? Aloha! Rico
