E.T. (Mixed Rhyme)

Oh yes, I remember well, the day When you gently breezed, without delay Into the house, where we’re in array, In one spirit we all hope and pray That you’ll be with us, till the last day. My younger brother, sitting beside me, smiled As he saw you wearing stylish earphone; In a murmuring voice, he said: “that’s wild!” I smiled too, and said: “c’est cool!” in soft tone. I don’t like to be seen, talking When I’m in my green and cream; Simply, I do not want him--- The one, whom I called, O, My King To be upset, by my sudden childishness; By then, you turned around… and glancing at us; And you smiled, touching my frail heart, with gladness! Gee, I’ve seen, once, that charming smile, in my past. You caused me to think, have we met Somewhere around the table set? Since then, I snatched time to slave Myself, thinking of you; I bet For sure, that you are a poet; And, ‘cos of you, I behave. Truth is I want to meet you alone, out there In between, where only words travelers dare To travel, seeking the inner peace; d’you care If one day, I tell you, how much I love you, for sharing a touch Of life? Yes, I love you! I sighed. Thou time will come, you’ll bid me bye. I’ll not cry, yet, I’ll not be free From pain, ‘cos that’s life meant to be. But, for now I’m happy, not sad. You don’t mind, if I call you, Dad? for Dad, the Poet
