E-Me-Tional

You said I was emotional. But you have me all wrong. I write what I’ve felt, what I still think sometimes. You made it seem that people like me shouldn’t be who we are, and it’s people like you that inspire these lines. You sit atop of your horse mocking those below, but let’s talk about what you think of yourself when the crowds are all gone. What do you really hide behind that plastic smile. You fault me, for expressing that I feel. You snicker, at the depth to which I deal. You judge, as I wonder where your perfections lie. You said I was emotional. And the people who get me as well. I’ve lived through my pain, learned to banish my hell. I feel for you. That’s why we’re here.
