dying for a Summer day

a playground's absence,
the invisible angel
sketching burns they walk;
laughing cheeks run fallen salt;
winter is dead in the streets

Dear Paige, every line conveys a longing for relief from "absence," "burns," and "fallen salt." You really do pack a lot of emotion into each each line. Enjoyed, as always. Blessings.

Excellent. I tried very hard to imagine sketching burns, though it is possible ~ I was burnt with boiling water & (...), so I just imagined this along with your fourth line. The final line here is a superb turnaround. This one is deeply subconscious & illustrates much healing has been achieved. Well done ! It’s a GOLD.

Everyone dreams about a summer day when the cold becomes unbearable. Once the snow melts away, parks will come alive again.

What a most soulfully moving imagery youv painted here, I felt this , especially the last line. I felt grief and angst and my chest tightened! Sending you light always…

When winter is severe we all long for a summer day. When winter is dead, playgrounds will be once more active.
