Dying
Since the first breath
Each moment dying
Into the next
From the past
Hurls the present
Into the future
Heed the twins
Blades that cut deeper
One to the other
All in due time
Death comes to sum
Life as an aftertaste
On one part
A brief sojourn
Then mortal darkness
Awake to knowing
Life a-glowing
Dark death a tunnel
Soon soul must
Walk the deeper sleep
Aware of death's decline
Here for a while
Let us be kind
To fashion more good
Death like ice cream
Has many flavours
You just never wake up here
Mortal life is harsh
Prayer is the key
Out of depression
When death comes
Before expiry date
Such a tragic nightmare
As a soul entity
We can pray for those
Who suffer a forced exit
May the Nameless God
Give such a soul rest
And peace in the light
Darker is the night
When you force the hand
Of the grim reaper
Death is simply
The profound opposite
Of earthly life
Eternity awaits
Each earthly soul
If you but see
To sleep into
A deeper sleep
To awake into light
May our prayers
Guide you home
Into the light
