Dwelling In Nevermore
I dwelled in darkness last night
I took again the hand of the devil
felt him burn along my flesh
and danced with him.
Flesh burning
eyes closing
lips biting
tongue tainted;
by the taste of him.
Darkness pricked behind my eyes
this is someone elses body
not--mine?
Who took his hand?
It was her
"Aa, my sweet but i am you"
but I remember, she is dead
I stood at the gaping hole,
in the earth, that was her grave.
Lucifer, he laughed
sending his empty laughter through me.
Bottomless
empty,
and hungry for more
tell me, do I really like this?
Or is there some malfunction in the
wiring's of my brain?
There was only me in the mirror.
Or was she actually there
and I was looking through her eyes?
I was so alone
longing for warmth
my skin, seared by the devils touch;
you had made me warm
and I longed for you to hold me,
burned with his hate.
Hate from the eyes of a monster,
there was someone else watching me,
I could feel her
and the mirror was broken,
had that let her crawl through to me?
Was she now here?
Stars twinkled above
the moon hung itself by midnight
darkness was her sin,
impenetrable darkness,
in the form of storm clouds
cold cascades of rain
alone, she stares back at the reflection.
In broken shards
she finds she is whole
whole broken half.
I dwelled in darkness.
