Dust Off Your Hat and Pray

However winds may blow

On this old rugged trail

Drowning in desert sand

Caught in fires of rain


Saddle up your horse to leave

Before the break of day

Dust off your hat and pray


Ride on Cowboy

While sun lights up the way

A cyclone is growing yonder

Ride winds of change

Trapped in worlds of pain

No, the music is not mine... I usually search for background music to add to my verses...I could spend hours trying to find a suitable instrumental... I was fortunate with "A warrior for love" and now this one...I've done 32 mini videos...on YOUTUBE...and got two perfect, after learning the cut and paste method ... by the way...there's no copywriter restriction if chosen from YouTube library...Thanks my friend

Hello Arturo!! Thanks for your recent comment on one of my latest poems!! When I read the words and verses of "DUST OFF YOUR HAT AND PRAY," the words and imagery of your poem actually brought to my mind several of the famous "Clint Eastwood" westerns that he both played in and directed.
