Duped

The destination was hazy My longing was going crazy I hastened to reach it faster The desire to conquer grew greater The nearer I approached, the more it receded Logic seemed to be more and more depleted Was it my imagination or was my destination within reach? For my whole life for this only cause I did preach Like a mirage it looked Yet how come I was hooked A staunch believer I was, duped by lies My imagination's fruit reflected in my eyes A voyeur I had become wandering without reason I had set out to reach the horizon
