AH, wavey...so much better than some of the less poetic descriptions...The last line has the banned in haiku metaphoric tone to keep the mind engaged.

Very clever of you, Andrea! The word 'wavey' refers to drunk, so does the word 'wasted' which refers to someone under the influence of alcohol. // paul

Hmmm quite up-to-date for someone who doesn't drink! I had a feeling that 'mellow' meant 'high', but was not sure:)
