heard sounds of children singing under the golden colorful rainbow snap sounds of bullets flying prayed that they all found cover terrified to death approached the open window there was no one there shells shattering nightmares haunt strangling tight around my throat 4/5/2018 We're only 12 weeks into 2018, and there have already been 17 school shootings where someone was hurt or killed. thank you, Paul, for reading the poem... It bothers me to see that some people think that it is all a put on.. The children have every right to be afraid, they have every right to protest to have the automatic rifle be taken away.. They don't need to be ridiculed for their actions they just want to be safe and no more deaths...and our president is not doing a thing.. :(

So sad! Now the kids are being ridiculed for speaking up about gun control. It all makes me sad.

Richard, you are right these children that are doing more than adults are being ridiculed.. and it isn't fair.. I hope that they will make a difference since the adults came seem too... thank you for your comment.. Hugs dear friend

I dreamed recently of my tooth breaking. I can't remember what that signifies. But I know our dreams are speaking to us from our subconsciousness Eve. I wonder what yours is trying to tell you.

I see. Yes, it's awful Eve. Hopefully the movement of youth who have banded together will bring about change in gun laws. It is long overdue.

Thank you for your comment , Jean, I should have placed the average shootings in the schools in the United States this year.. My heart goes out for all the children and the staff that work in the schools ... and now to feel they have to feel fear if they are going to be next.. Hugs Eve
