Drowned For Love

I’ve drowned for love,
and risen, a Surfer!
Life is like that, ebb
and flow – crests and
Wipe-outs! Such deep relationships
only having buoyancy two hearts
are willing to support. There
are no pamphlets, no programs
for guarantee. Love being
deliciously happy or madly
Bizzerk says one has been both
Beneficiary and Floundering Jerk --

What the heck...it all transcribes
to poetry!

Love in life is like surfing. Sometimes the ride is so smooth, sometimes very turbulent. Love and life are so full of ups and downs. Stay afloat.... wait for the right swell and paddle forward, cutting through the current.

Hi Valsa; absolutely! Nothing worth keeping comes easy -- my experience anyway. Blessings.

Thank you, Paula; a serious subject but I thought to add a softer more positive light -- nice to see encouraging comments. Have a great writing day my friend. Blessings.

Love the surfing metaphor. So clever, Joe. Line one, add -ed to drown. I always enjoy seeing how you interpret themes and I enjoyed your succinct creative take on the contest.

Yes, thank you; made the change. Fun to explore the themes of contests. This one particularly caught my interest because many of the poets I follow wrote on the topic. So, thought I would add my two cents.
