Dr.John In the Morning

A little too early in the day
to listen to
  this New Orleans "fonk"
   I must wake up -
and after all isn't
  he dubbed "The Night Tripper"?
he rocks on
   through the years
Poor New Orleans
   it fell prey
to nature's wiles
It must have been "the right place - wrong time"!

Hi Matthew! This is an elegant poem - very well written. Although Dr. John is still a riddle for me I must admire your work and sypathise with New Orleans. May be one day I visit New Orleans from Europe. Thanks for your comments on my poem Rewards of Love and for liking its last line. Best wishes! -Mohammad

Love Dr. John! And yes, pretty much repeating Kristin's comment, but poor New Orleans. Let's hope it comes back full blast. Love, Shar
