Drenching Origami Wings

A forehead wrinkles
at the pounding of water from the sky

It kind of wishes that
it could d

               w
                 n out

thoughts and feelings

but it only serves
to m a g n i f y them

background droll music
to an overthinker's mundane life

a fold here,
a crease there

origami wings
that are limp,
drenched

looking pretty lonely and pathetic
under, that, crying, sky, , , ,

Buko was hard to take for some but a lot of us saw his pain, his rebellion and his genius as a pie baked into perfection. I admire his talent, and I write nothing like him but his style and depth is unusual and interesting as hell. The man so very often wrote the cold hard brutal truth.

A somewhat surreal over the edge mixture of emotions that speak of discontentment within the author's heart. Well written. Emile. #7

wow, Nikko, this is stunning! You are at your best when writing this way. I am gonna wait till later to answer your email. I am not seeing Graceland as I had hoped. (what else is new?) Joe is feeling sick with a cold he caught here and I am just enjoying soup and trying to write poems on my last day here. We will leave in the morning. Take that plane home from Nashville in the afternoon. I hope Snickers and my cat are ok. Luv ya,Andrea
