Dreamtime: Future

Dreamtime: Future I knew it once / and dreamed it still / to lie awake and wonder when the breeze within will light the torch that leads the way through broken hope / when simple joys evoke the truth / that time has passed as seen by stars / when all that's blurred can clearly see the trembling distant waves of change / I knew it once / and dreamed it still

Those who have passed through our lives, only to have their memories blurred by time, can still seem alive to us in dreams. This write came to me at a good time, just after waking from a dream about someone I loved who passed away. I always fear the image will become too blurry for me to remember my late husband's face. Beautiful words, James. Love, Carolyn
