Dreams of Yesteryear
vaguely remembered
the span when life was normal
cherished memories of last year
of freedom we took for granted~
a lifetime now behind us
shipwrecked in this pandemic sea
time at an unbearable standstill
having us float idle in angst
helpless as driftwood
whilst many of us drown
in our bygone memories
