Dreamland

Birds can roar and lions squawk, Adults crawl and babies walk, Toddlers think and grown ups cry, Buildings fall and pigs can fly, Pirate treasure or spaceman flights, Dark mornings and bright skied nights, Friends close but enemies closer, Frozen scared but ride the coaster. Sugar bitter and lemon sweet, Cake to drink and wine to eat. Love to hate and hate to love. What is this world we’ve learnt to push and shove. I love you all one and all, together we love and together we fall. Let’s all get along or fall apart, death, suicide, depression to start. End it all by talking together. At night, by text, in the morning, whenever.

amen David. Your namesake wrote Psalms with similar themes, BRAVA! The peom is excellent in technical ways, maybe it got PROSAIC (or prose-y) at he end. Yet those are some of the most didactic & relevant words for our times, for emerging out of global pandemic & blight of A-type Top Potato leaders, who are exposed are less than SPUD. shalom, shalom in Him we trust
