Painting: "Unknown Places" by Monika Luniak
Dreaming of Yesterday's Wine
Sitting alone at the edge of the ocean
breathing the mist and the brine;
pondering deeply the seas endless motion
while dreaming of yesterday’s wine.
Ocean breeze blowing through golden locks flowing
over her shoulders divine.
Missing caresses and love always showing
while dreaming of yesterday’s wine.
Tenderness traded their passions they sated
under the moons gentle shine;
longing for rewind of moments created
and dreaming of yesterday’s wine.
One day it happened temptation came calling
beckoning seemed so benign
‘twas but an omen of times so appalling
now dreaming of yesterday’s wine.
Love they once shared now just memories pondered,
moments in time left behind;
thinking so sadly her love that was squandered
and dreaming of yesterday’s wine.
