Dreaming Awake

impish promises reminisce to wish for your kiss upon my foolish heart that meanders perfectly unaware obliviously blind to the stargazing Cherub's prayer eating the lotus flowers in your hair guileless and moonfaced a simpleton I am like peanut butter to jam I glue to you and blend my foolish heart to lend to the innocence of wonder that begins as I read your storybook without knowing where to look for the end I linger to vanish and conceal with the enchantment that steals my foolish heart January 11, 2021 My Foolish Heart Poetry Contest Sponsored by Craig Cornish
