Notes About The Poem

Dream For Tomorrow

We dream of peace on Earth- a lasting peace:
we yearn and pray for future life, and think
of days when wars no longer plague- but cease;
with total joy, all share in freedom’s link.

We yearn and pray for future life and think
each person has an equal chance from birth;
with total joy, all share in freedom’s link
within God-given rights of man on Earth.

Each person has an equal chance from birth
to live unburdened, free as free can be
within God-given rights of man on Earth;
survive without the fear of 'fight or flee'.

To live unburdened, free as it free can be:
of days when wars no longer plague- but cease;
survive without the fear of 'fight or flee'.
We dream of peace on Earth- a lasting peace.
