Dream-O-Land
Dawn arrives promptly
Abrupt and early
Eyes still feel heavy
Morning routines wait
Early still feels late
Bedside clock hurls fate
Feet stumble wobbly
Sleepy form shaky
Moves somewhat edgy
Slow movement stealing
Awkward steps slipping
Sleep still caressing
Feeling still gloomy
Dawn leading slowly
Focus still weary
Wash my face feeling
Dream-o-Land thinking
Last dream still gazing
Marionette moves mime
Out-of-sync with time
Sleepy music chimes
Birdsong from the ledge
Punctuates my mind edge
Slow knowing times stage
Cold water splashing
Face awakening
Aware of waking
Daylight shines bright
Steaming warm sunlight
No debris of night
My thoughts come streaming
Notice just knowing
Conscious of seeing
Another fine day
To work fond array
To niche rainbow rays
Spend time doing things
In sure happenings
Squeeze moments that fling
Too soon day turns dark
Night bring fireflies sparks
Light leaves earthly park
Dream-o-Land draws near
Drowsy feelings steer
Bedtime drooping dear
Another sweet day
Surrenders from stay
Sleepy dreams now play
Body lies asleep
Astral mind trips deep
Dream after dream peep
Sleep talking moaning
Unconscious groaning
Fuzzy murmurings
Morning comes again
Ushering refrains
Logic not yet plain
Same old agenda
Awkward persona
Waking to drama
