Notes About The Poem

Drawn In Rapture

time cloaked fierce wrath I gave up the past or the wind wipe the chill off my flesh bury the sun in brine watch the warped beams an intricate mosaic bathing inside the dripping rays In utter crystal testimony pectoriloquy squiggles sloppy stencils shattered insights defiant & resistant shoreless traveler mood of braided stories drifting left unmarked unsoiled knead to the ground lap up the virgin earth with my thirsty soul tangible &sprawled untouched by the contaminated fingers of perception. my broken reflection on endless pages of poetry perfectly aligned melting into unrefined masterpiece

Lasaad, your "broken reflection" is just one example from your poem that bursts at the seams with creative imagery that flows from one line to the next. I think this is one of your best and a fav for me. Wonderful writing! Congratulations on your first place win. Well deserved my friend! Blessings!

Wow, this has me deeply contemplating your poem Sotto. I so wish I had more time to be on this site. Your poems fascinate me. I suppose someday, I will have more time to just rest, and bask in poetry, and I promise you, I will surely be reading many more of your works. I guess I need a vacation...and your poem and image make me want to go to the ocean shore for contemplative thoughts. This is certainly contemplative, and lovely. I love the form.
