Despite the life I nearly slain Restore my heart in twain And ere I wage my cold campaign No burden shall remain Release what’s kept within the chest Endure the silent night Broken, the edges seek their rest Change comes without a fight An old resolve is gathering pace Resigned to what is true Braced for the dawn I cannot face Under an altered view Nothing demands a final word Gone are the reasons why Carried by winds I barely heard Only to let them die -
