Drained
Drained,
unoccupied thoughts
form empty sadness
Drained
of those moments
now never again
Drained,
what little is left
will soon evaporate
Drained,
smiles are forgotten
frowns become the norm
Drained
of that voice
sung in times of need
Drained,
drab wilted flowers
where pinks and yellows once bloomed
Drained,
sunny days now darken
neath clouded dreams
Drained,
never to be full ...
again
