Dragon Meets Washington Dc
The loving people of our fair town needed a vacation one fine day.
I wasn’t about to argue with them, I’ve often felt the same way.
The journey was a family trip, with the entire menagerie along.
The Las Vegas Dragons, took us there, air Dragon was our song.
The Paparazzi came along wouldn’t miss the adventure for anything.
After all, it’s not every day, Dragon sees Washington DC in spring.
I had tried to call Homeland Security, saying we were on our way.
They thought our joke was very funny, as they hung up right away.
I had Dragon promise to hold my hand and to never let me go, so…
He would get in far less trouble, or I hoped, that’s how it would go.
First he wanted a horse and carriage ride so… he’d see all, first hand.
The horse spooked, ran off, until Dragon was finally thrown off, and…
We were thrown into blossoming cherry trees; we’d entered La La land.
We’d be shedding cherry blossoms, forever, from every place, offhand.
Then thinking it safe, we rode the Cloud Nine Tours Double Decker Bus.
Dragon couldn’t fit inside so we rode with the Trolls, on top, with us.
Unfortunately, they all piled to one side to see the Washington Monument.
Alas, this made the bus tip, dumping us, into the mirror pool, by accident.
The Trolls decided to take a bath, as the penguins dove and played within.
Security guards came running, as I told Dragon to get us out, right then.
We were shedding Cherry blossoms as we flew into the monument head on.
Sliding down was twice the fun as homeland security running… declared!
We were in… A no fly zone… and they called their jets to bring us down!
But their wake… threw us up and carried us on to the Lincoln Memorial!
Where we unceremoniously landed on Lincoln’s lap… Which then…
Designated us into a full-blown terrorist attack! Just then the witches…
Decided to spell Lincoln to life… So we could all get his autograph, and…
Hear his famous Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Why not? We’d now be…
Bound for jail! But Lincoln was sooo very nice as he entertained everyone.
Even signed Dragon’s autograph as Lincoln the Vampire Slayer! Well Done!
Fortunately, the Sheriff of Crazyland’s brother worked for a senator so…
All was forgiven, if we’d put Lincoln back and then just get out of Town!
So I guess you can say… Dragons may come, and… Dragons may go…
Got mine by the hand… and I’m not letting go… It was a Great news day!
The President (Yep, for real!) asked for Both Dragon and Lincoln’s autograph.
Then Grandpa Troll took our hands and led us safely out of town! The End!
