Dragon-Egg

I love you like a fire just starting. Arent two things the same? Me and two sisters travel through the sand mountains. We look for shade, but only tall grass. So we sit and sweat, sparking green on the hillside like the fossil, warmbringing of old-time, spring. Me and my sisters gain three big siblings. One with a mind’s eye to dream. One with a hand to make wood. One with a lung to breath life. We all hum, and hop back to the beach on burning feet. cooling in Michigan’s blue heaven, we feel the dragonfire bite of the icy summer lake. Eruption of laughter and screams and high knees! We meet the 4th sibling, A love to surprise. The dragon-egg sun cracks.
