Wow - excellent senryu! The mind truly doesn’t care which seeds you sow. Plant tendrils slowly grow like the formation of neural pathways :)

Wow, This hits home in my family, where one member had/has doubts and fears, and they have truly suffocated his life -- just as your wrote. Prescient, Andrea! Congrats on your win in the contest! Cheers, Gershon

Children are very smart. and its sad when others come in and try to ruin their thoughts, or imaginations. i say let them grow, you never know, they may just understand a bit more than you. by the way, im sorry i havn't been on in a while. i have to take summer school, so i've been kind of forcing myself to study a lot. but i've been writing an enigma, and i believe its the last one..that i am able to write into short story.i think.great poem Andrea, now bye.must go study like a nerd.-always

I sure loved the metaphor you used here Andrea--just totally amazing and true!! I think this should do very well in the contest--really can envision those tendrils too, sinister & cunning tendrils indeed...nikko :)

You've expressed very well what we all feel from time to time...Satan is always out there busy trying to destroy everyone and doubt is one of his tools..Keep the creative pen flowing..Sara

Children have such open minds and absorb everything told to them. It is a shame that so many people use this power to suffocate their faith. Wonderful haiku, Andrea! Love, Carolyn
