Double Minded

No coincidence that I have at the least two of most everything for navigation generally favoring one side over another though mostly straddling the lines between – the tight I walk...life’s many journeys of balance -- Balance, is Free Will on shaky display – what man does to avoid both the Devil and God small, under developed hands, attempting to juggle infinite worlds and stars….

Dear Joe, Your verses, for me, evoke the dichotomy inherent in the human experience, where duality and balance intertwine. I loved that amidst the tightrope walk of life, we navigate between opposing forces, seeking equilibrium. Yet, in our quest for balance, we grapple with the weight of free will and the complexities of existence. Your words are filled with the struggle of reconciling opposing truths, a testament to the intricacies of the human psyche. - Blessings, Daniel

I hear ya, Daniel. A helpful analysis. The problem for me is, balance is like, tasteless food, luke warm or luke cold coffee. Watered down booze, flat beer, shallow kisses, controlled love making, etc -- I am not growing old gracefully, missing my riotous youth. Probably one reason why I write poetry, keeping my memories fertile and concurrent. I am certain that I go too hard for my age, but I want to perish like Cyrano -- Blessings my friend.

Much depth you convey in these lines, my friend: --small, under developed hands, attempting to juggle infinite worlds and stars….balance we seek, but struggle to make it.

Much controversy over free will. Are we free to do wrong? A deep poem.

We are free to do right, and we are free to do wrong -- and Law is free to treat us accordingly. Choose free always. Thank you, Victor.

Hi Sara; thank for reading and taking time to comment. Free Will is probably the most misunderstood concept of the metaphysical all. To truly have it, one would not only have to be able to make Free Will choices, but, in fact, be able to make the choices one chooses from. In other words, Will using thought to create physical reality. I think we can and do.

Hi Si; thank you for such a perceptive and thoughtful comment. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Balance to me is a recipe for mediocrity. Anything exceptional comes from insane, unwavering focus.
