Double-Edged
Double-edged
Maybe, I should
dig faster now,
but my hands
are already numb,
and this gasping
lamp shows to
be troublesome.
The undecided
sweat on my face
comes to a halt,
as a light, daunting
and blatantly
obvious unfasten
my camouflage
amongst the shadows.
The paleness of
the moon tricks me,
and quenches the
flicker of a faithful’s
vigilance.To witness
the treachery of the
deepening shade
like a deadly snare
for a fallen
prey.
