Dormant Desert Dunes

Listen to poem:

Such is love like dormant desert dunes amidst their  decubitus decline,

Bewitching  barmecidal brides beckon my last drops of desire…

Overwhelming  obelus and ototoxic behavior in loves' great divide,

For the howling desert winds evaporate my love through eviternity…

 Floccinaucinihilipilification flutters thru my mind upon dusty dunes.



Decubitus...The posture adopted by a person who is lying down.
Barmecidal...Illusory or imaginary and therefore disappointing.
Obelus...Serving as the sign indicating a division.
Eviternity...Eternal existence.
Floccinaucinihilipilification...The action or habit of estimating something as worthless.



I used these particular words...to show how sometimes love can be dormant & dying...plus dusty lol

Oh yeah? You might have spelled them correctly, and used them properly in a sentence, but can you pronounce that last one? Dusty, dormant and dying..descriptive adjectives for a doomed love.and so it goes. Nice win, J.

Wings, I shall try to use Floccinaucinihilipilification in a sentence today... NOT! I can't even read it, let alone remember it, LOL! I love it though, and I love that you used it in your poem and wrote out what it means. This is definitely not a barmecidal write... GL in the contest ~ John
