Don'T Quit Your Daydream
In the desolate wasteland of barrenness,
a solitary tree scorched by the sun for long,
cast on the parched ground, nonetheless,
a sensuous shadow, my forlorn secret sanctum.
Along the path I paved to the retreated yearning,
on the contorted contours of desiccated desire,
wild flowers bloomed amidst the thorny cactus,
the fragrance took me on mirage to the reverie oasis.
In the transformed vision of my unclosed eyes,
the desert turned into the garden of paradise.
The cloud captured the colors of horizon’s pallet,
breeze serenaded in the seducing gleam of twilight.
You floated like an angel in the moon dust shower,
mesmerized me with your amorous radiance.
Even at dawn I felt in a trance I was the moon,
to light up the dark days, I didn’t quit my daydream.
