Don'T Ever Give Up On Me

Dear Mommy and Daddy, where did you go? Why didn’t you take me home after I was born? Was it because the doctor said that I’d be slow? Or was it because you saw that I was deformed? I was so excited that the day had finally come To see you both in person and in the flesh. But, now I lay here feeling heartbroke and lonesome. After nine months of waiting, I can’t believe you left. You waited for less than a year for me to arrive. I waited in the dark for my entire life. From the day that I was conceived, I felt so alive. But, discarding me cut my heart like a knife. I graduated top of my class and got my degree. I have a loving family and a wonderful life. I have not been hindered once by my deformity, And I own my own business with my loving wife. So, you see, Mommy and Daddy, I turned out alright. This whole story is what my life ahead can be. Here I come, into the unknown world of light. Please, Mommy and Daddy, don’t ever give up on me.
