VERY clever write and a sure win. a great last line - a splintered day and splinters in your hand - shame CayCay, but hope the person in your poem 'A Day Scar Drama' was in that pile! Love and hugs Jennifer. Good luck in the contest!

When I was young, I used to hate chopping and stacking wood but as I grew older i got to where I really enjoyed the exercise. I haven't done it in quite a while. It would probably kill me now. i enjoyed your humor CayCay. Good luck!

Good morning, Thomas - thank you for the comments. Was easy to write because I really did help clear a pile of chopped wood, unchopped limbs, kindling sticks and various other yesterday (I actually enjoyed it though.) An odd pile to sort on a summer's day, huh? All the best ... CayCay
