Do Not Love the World's System 1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world's system 1 John 2: 15-17
Do not love the world nor anything in the world. If anyone loves
the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in
the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lusts of his eyes, and
the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father
but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the
man who does the will of God lives forever.
The Armour of God Ephesian 6:10-12
Finally be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on the full
armor of God so that you may take your stands against the devil's
schemes. For we labor not against flesh and blood, but against
the rulers, against the authorities, and against the spiritual forces
of evil in heavenly realms.
Jesus Predicts His Death Mark 8:34-38
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said:
If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself, take up
his cross and follow me. For who wants to save his life will lose
it, but whoever who loses his life for me and the gospel shall will
save it.
What good is it for a man to gain the whole world yet forfeit
his own soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for
his own soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in
this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be
ashamed of him when he shall come in his glory with his holy
angels."
More Than Conquers Romans 8:28-35
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who
love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For
those who God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed
to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among
man brothers. And those who he predestined, he also called;
those who he called, he also justified; those he also justified,
he also glorified. What than shall we say in response to this?
If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare
his own Son, but gave him up for us--how will he not also, along
with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge
against those who God has chosen? It is also God who justifies.
Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than
that--who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is
also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love
of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine,
or nakedness, or danger or sword? [Not anything at all]
