Do Ghosts Make Love

They felt elated, walking on the grainy golden sand, Hand in hand occasionally Stealing a passionate kiss. The evening’s first star shone So luminous and bright. The sea was so calm that night. Little did they know What was to befall them! They found a secluded cove. Love was abundant all around, Until the earth shook in a quake. Large tsunami waves Carried them to their demise. The ambulance came. The nurses identified the corpses. There they were on the beach Still in a sweet embrace. Must have been that freak tsunami Someone wise said. Another asked cynically. Do ghosts still make love?

a creative write, Victor. The story reminds me of that TV show titled "Ghosts." It's a comical take on the lives of ghosts, all of whom over centuries died in the same place....they interact and even make love. Anyway, I digress. I just love this one, Victor, Sara

I see romance ad humour coupling together in this poem ! You bring some extra terrestrial elements to your poems which give a special appeal. I wonder how I missed this. Sad, the ghosts got drowned during their love making ! :)

They do, but they're always complaining they just can't feel anything. Seriously though, a sad poem with a twist of sardonic humor

Souls intwined in love, but death cannot kill love. So, yes, in a way, I believe their spirits still love and comfort one another, not in the physical sense. Loves embrace must be eternal...forever. This is so sad, and yet beautiful, tragic, but an honest question certainly does make one ponder.

So romantic and beautiful although tragic ending, making a superb poem and story. I enjoyed your poem and the last line makes me think too much. Thanks a lot for sharing and for the visits on my poems my dearest poet friernd. I'm a mushroom here at PS because of the load of work everyday. So meantime this is my resthouse as mother nature allows me sometimes. God bless you always and again, thank you so much. I'll be back soon to read more if its fine with you ok. Hugs
