Divine Contentment - An Art Form - Philippians 4: 11-13

In reading one of my favourite books God spoke of not to get hemmed in with the cares of life with its demands for it'll eventually punch you in the chin This book written by puritan Thomas Watson entitled the art of divine contentment speaks of contentment as real and true something that hit me in astonishment It showed how Paul the apostle knew this in all of his struggles he experienced this art God truly spoke that for me this could be that His real peace and presence is His heart A few years ago as I began my retirement reading this God inspired book for third time as I learned more of God's mind and truth of being content whether with much or a dime So my retirement gave opportunity to things new read write and enjoy beauty of God's creation such a blessing feeling God's fresh air as He directs me to my life station Thankfulness to God is His due for His wonders to us He does bring leading and guiding by His words so to our God we know to cling ('Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.' ) Philippians ch. 4 vs 11-13 (ESV)
