Notes About The Poem

“There is nothing in the world

so irresistibly contagious

as laughter and good-humour.”

A Christmas Carol

by Charles Dickens

Discounting the Cooked Clerk

Discounting the Cooked Clerk Bah humbug humidity. Cratchit’s counting on hot reality with an unquenchable boss. Air conditioner’s broke, but not. Think Winter’s better? it ain’t. Scrooged in Summer taint. 9/13/2021

After decades of hot Texas summers, this poem makes me laugh (and break out in a sweat!). Well-done. Pun intended.

This is such a great write and depicts how there are many who are never satisfied but always find a reason to complain. There are just those who are never happy unless they are miserable. Good stuff her4e. God Bless, JB

That Old Scrooge...2 hundred years, and hasn't mellowed a bit. I pray for Cratchit. This poem needs no help -- it is perfectly delightful!
