Disappearance

Alone in a dark place, Sitting under a tree, Holding his feeble soul, Hiding his timorous heart, He sits and watches the sky, He sees the shining stars, He contemplates the glare, He sits covered with despair, "Not going home," he whispers... With a tear sliding down his cheek, He holds his cold breath; His hands tremble with fear, Hours pass, As the sun starts to rise, His eyelids start to cover his eyes, And in seconds, he falls asleep, The tranquility of nature, With its humming breeze, In the wind we hear, The hymn of sadness playing, He slowly wakes up, With a broken heart, His memories covering his all, And a fence of tears surrounding his soul, He lies down on the ground, With a hopeless feeling, With a tired body, With an apprehensive mind, He thinks of his past, And of the happiness that never lasts, He feels all the pain, He feels the tears that grip his eyes, He closes his eyes and tries to dream, But sad memories stop him from dreaming, He remembers yesterday when he ran away, From the miserable life he was living, Taking a deep breath, Not knowing what to do next, His frozen face reflecting his feelings, Showing a bruise that is not healing, "Why am I here?" He screams loudly, "I'll drown in my tears..." "I'm pressed with my fears," his voice starts fading away.... He raises his head into the sky, Then he leaves his soul and disappears....
