Disappear

Young eyes so full and wide Thinking a world so stationary As if it were a picture Where happiness is forever entombed Over the faces of loved ones It's so very picturesque We fancy not our futures Of ever being apart But the cracks are there Like driftwood We go where the river carries And our destinations Are not the same In due time They all Disappear

I like "we go where the river carries us," I doubt we ever realize that until it has already carried us.
